RCE TropSensor: Transdermal Troponin Device Study

In early 2023, I served as the project lead for early investigation and implementation of the TropSensor device. RCE developed the TropSensor as an innovative transdermal diagnostic technology designed to measure troponin levels through the skin. Dr. Ronald Karlsberg, of the Cardiovascular Research Foundation of Southern California, was the Principal Investigator for this interventional Phase 1 study to evaluate the accuracy of transdermal troponin values compared to traditional Troponin I blood collection methods. The trial was conducted in partnership with Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, leveraging their expertise and facilities for patient recruitment and study execution.

My responsibilities included coordinating multi-site communication, ensuring protocol compliance, and facilitating data collection and analysis of key biomarkers. The study advanced the application of diagnostic technologies, integrating optical technology and machine learning algorithms to improve early detection of cardiac events.
